Gallery Valentin
A gallery with long tradition and history. Lucienne and Louis Lange founded L'Art Francais (the initial name of Gallery Valentin) in 1934. Until 1986, the location of the gallery was on avenue Laurier in Plateau-Montreal. In 1975, Jean-Pierre Valentin bought the gallery from Madame Lange and continued her tradition of presenting works of well-established and emerging artists. Today, the gallery represents mostly Canadian artists offering works of Ozias Leduc, John Little, Stanley Cosgrove, Goodridge Roberts, Marc-Aurele Fortin Miyuki Tanobe, Elene Gamache, Genevieve Jost, Christian Deberdt, etc. In 1986, Jean-Pierre Valentin moved the gallery to the Golden Mile in Sherbrooke Street, near to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
