My first markdown on old Sony Xperia

Here is 1st md on my old Sony Xperia using iA Writer on google drive.

tiny memory

It is not easy job, this nice design android phone with very tiny 380MB memory even it has 16GB sd card. It is full of stupid preinstalled apps,used out 200MB,there is very limited memory space for real useful apps.

It is such painful you saw most of system apps are useless in tiny memory but cannot get ride of them. I try to root it but never get it works the message of failure said "your phone is so hard to be rooted" , it sounds like a joke 🙂

my target

So what should we do? I do factory reset on phone,to make sure it is a clean system,then only installed must have apps for my target:

• work as phone,this is easy no extra app needed,build in as a phone with 2G/3G
• check email, gmail is there
• social tool, Facebook and Twitter are there,no space for any extra app like wechat,whatsup
• media center, YouTube there but out of date, need upgrade

Then let's think about what is must apps we can have in so tiny memory:

• File manager 5mb, 11mb when running
  Must tool to clean up garbage,it only works for SD card storage so cannot help on lack of system memory.
• iA Writer 8mb, 15mb when running
  Best markdown editor on Android,supports cloud storage. I prefer dropbox but it is not work for Android 4.0.4, so only choice is google drive.
• google play services 30mb,100mb when running
  So sad any google app uses this google play services, it costs a lot.

It is hard work but it is amazing I did it,I can use it as alternative phone; quick search info from Google and youtube;take note or draft of idea in markdown in cloud storage Google drive.
